Take Me Away Programs!

What is a travel theme without a passport or luggage tags?

The excitement began when I received my custom stamp in the mail (here), then it went on to the assembly of the programs (here). Now you get to take a look at the inserts of the programs, so take us away programs, since it couldn't take us anywhere else but through the wedding outline:

First: United States of Marriage

Second: Order of Ceremony (No image, the usual!)

Third/Fourth: Bridal Party (No image because of the names; privacy)

Note: Instead of using "Bridesmaids" I used the term "Bride Ladies"; Also included my "BodyGuards and "Little Guards" which were my nephews (here).

Fifth: Reading of Ceremony (will show wording in a separate post.)

Sixth: Thank you (will show clearer wording in a separate post.)

The other day as we were unpacking a few of our boxes, hubby came across one of the programs and began saying "why isn't your passport in a secure place?". After taking a second look he just sucked his teeth, lol!! With that said, I must say that we must have done a good job :-)

Engagement Shoot (3): Purpose

In the last post (here), I provided a picture to hint one of the purposes for our engagement shoot. Well, aside for keepsake and display at the wedding, we wanted to use a few of our pictures as table numbers.

Originally, I was going to use images of famous/historical landmarks in Asia such as the Temples of Angkor, Great Wall of China, Forbidden City and Changdeokgung Palace; similar to below:

But I decided our pictures would give more personalization. Here's the ending result:

In the wedding recap post, I will show how it displayed on the table with everything else!

Stamp-ede 2!

If you re-call from my previous post,  Stamp-ede , I was working on a cover. Well this post gives the remaining detail. Well, the cover was for our "Passport Programs"! I went back and forth between program fans or nothing and in the end the passport won, thanks to Aylee bits "Passport Invitations".

I consider my passport ONE of my prized possessions, with every stamp and marking means a new journey. So it made sense to include it in the wedding, not only as part of the theme but the beginning of our new journey.

Aside from trying to get the stamp to show on the covers, the remaining process fell into place.

Hard at work trying to get it done. I was fortunate to have awesome individuals willing to help out as I tried to achieve what I wanted.

Used cutters that my friend Cynthia (Elizabeth Couture) provided. 

 I purchased this corner rounder from Joann Fabrics; pretty neat! (can you see the rounded edges?)

Us hard at work day 1 out of 3 days. It would've taken less time if not for the printer failing on us during day 1. 

In the end, it was all worth it!!

Blame it on the...

Along with the wedding planning and research, I have been getting better acquainted with the world of crafting. With every detail, I assume I can re-create it myself at a more affordable price. Every idea I came across seemed like a project for me to take up. It didn't take long for me to take a trip to JoAnn Fabrics and this was the end result:

Here is a closer look at the items:

-Sewing Machine

-Glue gun (my back-up)

-Scissors

-Thread

-Needles

-Pinking shear

-Measuring tape

-Seam ripper

-White marking pencil

-Tomato pin-cushion

-Tracing wheel

However, I quickly realized there are some items (floral arrangements to be exact), should be left for a professional (florist!!); I know my weaknesses and strengths :-). Everything else (esp. paper related) seems to be right on my wagon.
