Crunch

None of this:

Definitely, none of this:

Need to be doing more of this:

But all I am running out of is:

It's crunch time and I am starting to feel more of the pressure. So much I want to do but so little time! I am at the point where I am going down the list and being realistic with what can be done and what I simply have to let go :-(.  Wish I was having a two day wedding to incorporate all the ideas in my mind :-)

With it being crunch time, I know I have been posting less but honestly I have a few posts that are time sensitive. In other words, they will be posted during or after the wedding so I won't completely spoil it for my guests. I may be off but there will be posted posts :-)

I'm a little sad of the idea of letting some of the details go; if you were in my position, did you regret leaving out a few of your "must-have" details?

Kidding..right?!

It's about that time for us to make decisions on our music selections for the procession and first dance. To be fair, I asked my fiancee to give me at least three songs and I would do the same. From that list we would pick our top three. Now, I always knew we never had the same taste in music but were able to find our middle grounds. But nevertheless, I knew! So he sends me his first selection and my thoughts exactly were, "Kidding, right?! tell me this is a joke!!"

Miguel- "Sure Thing"

I nearly hit the floor at 00:14

I'm hoping the next two selections are not a shocker. We both like "Konpa" and "R&B", so I am crossing my fingers hoping he keeps that in mind. This is definitely not going to be our first dance nor used for my entrance. He suggested playing it as we exit from the ceremony, my thoughts..NEGATIVE!

Trying to be fair but..... well, let me just wait for the other two before I re-act.

Like I said, I really hope this is a joke but I don't want to say it to him in that manner; what if he wasn't kidding!

Styling the Tresses

Time for trials; so it’s about that time for me to look into hairstyles!

According to diy-wedding-planner, as a general rule of thumb when choosing a wedding hairstyle an “All-Up” hairstyle is very sturdy and will last all day and night whatever your venue. It is suitable for morning, afternoon or evening weddings.
“Half-Up/Down”hairstyle is still sturdy and should last for the duration of the wedding and wedding reception dependent upon the type of hair. It is a romantic, quite young look. However, it does not go well with evening wear,
“All Down” hairstyle is not practicable for outdoors, unless your hair is particularly short or you can guarantee that there will be no wind! Whilst it is romantic and modern the style may not last as long. You should be prepared to touch your hair up inbetween events.

Here’s what I think, go with the look that suits your features best. So that’s what I’m going to focus on during the hair trial. However, I’m not really into tight neat updo’s, (unless in I’m need of a relaxer :-) but I haven’t excluded them.

In any case, choosing a hairstyle is just as nerve wrecking as picking the dress. I have considered the neckline of the dress and think just about any hairstyle will compliment. Now the quest is what will fit my features best. Take a peek at what I am liking so far.

Absolutely love the hair-piece!

Now, I can’t make up my mind…

Really??!!..1

You’ve been warned! I included the conversation instead of trying to explain…

Shipping Manager: Hello, is this Makerbie?
Moi: Yes, how may I help you?
SM: I am calling because we can no longer hold your dress, it has been here since March and we need     for you to pick it up (mind you in an annoying tone).
Moi: Excuse me??!!! What do you mean it has been here since March??
SM: I show in our system that someone spoke to you in March and also in April about your dress.
Moi: Wait! let’s take a few steps backwards. When did my dress arrive?
SM: It arrived in March and I have it in the system that we spoke to you in March to pick up your dress and again in April about veils.
Moi: First of all, I received a call from the alterations department yesterday requesting to set up a date for fitting. I asked “how can I schedule a fitting if I am still waiting for my dress to arrive?”. She informs me that it came in on Friday and they were still going down the list, that is probably why I hadn’t received a call yet.  Now, you are telling me my dress has been here since MARCH!!! When I placed my late order they told me to expect it to arrive during the first or second week of June. So of course I waited, but now you are telling me my dress has been here since March, a week after I placed the order. Secondly, you have the audacity to tell me I spoke to someone in April about the dress! Listen lady, you better make sure you are calling the right person and have the right dress.
SM: Well, it shows in the system..
Moi: I’m not finished!! Wherever and whatever the screw up is, you better find it and fix it! That better be my dress when I go in for alterations. I will be highly upset if I find out my dress was actually here since March. Yes I scheduled an appointment in April but that appointment was set for me to try on the sample dress because I was having doubts about my purchase. No worries this is the beginning of my raft, by the way I no longer find a need for this conversation because clearly something is off. I am too upset to continue this conversation because a store like yours shouldn’t have errors or need a better system. Whatever it is, it better not be a problem I have to deal with.
SM: Well, I apologize. I will look into it, maybe I can have your fitting sooner.
Moi: Let me help you understand clearly, if you are correct that means my dress has been here for THREE MONTHS!!!. Which means I could have already had it altered, which takes about 4 weeks according to your alterations department, and worry about other matters. Now I am down to the wire with crunch time. Here’s what you can do, if they have to rush my alterations then the store will waive that fee. That’s an apology!
SM: Well, we will see what we can do.
Moi: I don’t want to see what can be done, oh it will be done. Not my fault but yours Miss SHIPPING MANANGER. Thank you!

Aaaaasssaaaaahhhhhh!!!

Now did I overreact? because I sure am heated! I am still in disbelief!

Signing off for now

Last Song!

Tick, tock, tick, tock!!

At this time I should be focusing on the ceremony music and our first dance but I couldn't help but skip to the last song of the night.

I have my top three choices!

Choice #1- Hot Chelle Rae

Okay so the lyrics are a little off but the hook is awesome :-) wouldn't you say?!

Choice #2- Black Eyed Peas

All I can say is "Dirty Dancing", love that movie :-)

Choice #3- Wyclef, T-Vice & Buju

And of course taking it back to my roots!

# 1 still holds the hotspot; out of curiosity what's your favorite? Any other suggestions?
